Where the Crawdads Sing written by Delia Owens was definitely one of my favorite reads this year. It follows the journey of Kya, a resourceful little girl who finds herself left behind as one by one her family leaves her behind with a neglectful father who eventually leaves one day never to return. Kya’s resilience in the face of so much adversity and loneliness inspires me. I experienced so many emotions in this wonderful novel I can’t even begin to put into the words. I laughed, I cried, my heart broke and was left with a feeling of satisfaction. I was absolutely thrilled when Delia Owens announced on her Instagram page that the novel will be coming to the big screen, I can’t wait to see the wonderful characters brought to life. If you have read Where The Crawdads Sing how did you feel about it? Let me know your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you.
